Default First Winter with the car. Swapped wheels/tires. Added new center caps.

Today's project: To help save the 20" carbon fiber/diamond cut wheels and Pirellis from Winter roads and treatments, I swapped out to some 19" propellers with Continental Extreme Contacts. Also removed all the OEM lug nuts and locking nuts and put on all new Gorilla chrome lug nuts.
The 19's sure look small, but the ride is smooth!
Also added some new Union Jack center caps to the 20's to show off in the Spring. Just ordered some matching carbon fiber union jack stem caps to go with them!
Oh, also swapped out the plastic shift paddles for the OEM aluminum paddles. So much nicer!

Same thing here - just switched from my 20" carbon blade wheels to the 19" propellers for the first winter with the F-type. The 19s sure look smaller but still look pretty good. A positive surprise was a clear decrease of cabin noise with the propellers but I guess it's mainly because my 20" summer rear P Zeros were worn down to the legal limit while the 19" Sottozeros still have pretty much left in them.

Interesting to see those 20" wheels up close btw. I thought the carbon blades were the only ones with carbon inserts but apparently not.

I am bracing myself for a lot of flak here but I prefer your 19 propeller……

Not sure why you would catch any flak. The propellers are a good looking wheel. They just look small to me right now as I'm used to the 5 spoke 20's.

I recommend something like the medium size wheel woolie for cleaning the propeller’s barrel. I use a large one on the rear wheels, but I have the smaller rotors.

Curious why you would switch to 19's for the Winter?
Doesn't that make your car even lower and more prone to road damage?
Perhaps I am missing something?

Yeah, you're missing the fact that the overall wheel/tyre diameter is the same because the 19"s have a taller sidewall.

I found these OEM 19's with new Continental Extreme Contacts mounted and balanced (just taken off another F type whose owner switched to custom forged wheels) for $550 locally.
I also read that having a taller sidewall is good for the winter road conditions.

Sounds like a great deal. I got mine for 500€ with part worn OEM Pirelli Sottozero 3 tyres.

Although our winters are usually pretty mild and mainly cold and rainy we occasionally get some snow, slush and the roads are usually getting heavily salted. It would just feel a bit odd to ride on nice 20" wheels in such conditions. If there's snow I'd say there's a slightly higher risk of kerbing wheels when parallell parking because of kerbs and stuff hidden in the snow. Happened to me a couple of times in the past. And the winter months usually mean more relaxed driving because of the road conditions. Given all of that it feels nice with somewhat comfier tyres and less sensitive rims for the winter.
