Default Flat bottom wheel

Hello folks! I’ve noticed that the F type R (which we have) all have the flat bottom steering wheel. The SVR does not and I’m wondering why that is?

Not all Rs have the flat bottomed or "sports" steering wheel, it was an option across the range including I think the SVR.
But it was discontinued for the 2022 MY onwards.

I believe the flat bottom wheel may have been standard on the V6S (or maybe it was included only with the convenience package).

Yep, according to the 2016 US brochure I am looking at the flat-bottomed steering wheel was standard on the 2016 V6S (but only in the auto not the manual) and the R but not the SVR where it wasn't even an option. It was also included in the interior black pack (option P10) on the F-Type Premium (a short lived model which slotted in between the base and the V6S).

I have it on my 6S. No convenience package and not on listed on the sticker as a separate item.

Correct, the Flat Bottom Steering Wheel was not offered on the SVR. I special ordered mine as part of a bespoke order to the SVO Group for a Flat Bottom Steering Wheel, BRG #15 paint, Bright Trim and a few other bits that were not available options for the SVR...

With the flat bottom, you can rest a 12 ounce Miller High Life can on the wheel. With the round one, only a tall-boy fits.
You're welcome.

The F-104G starfighter is indeed really cool.

The carbon fiber is overlays from Koshi group.

my 2014 V8S did not come with flat bottom wheel. It also did not come with the configurable dynamic mode.
