I was just watching this old video from Chris Harris on the f-type when I noticed that the front emblem shown here is the old growler. Was this actually put on production cars, or is this a press car oddity?
I noticed this when I went to make wheel caps. At first, I had them made with the old growlers. They didn't match my grill growler, so I had new ones made.
You guys aren't looking closely enough. There are two different cat faces there. One is the old logo, and one is modern.
Now, you sound like my wife.
Circle the differences please? (The lighting and reflections are much different, and I'm embarrassed to see the water spots on ours... from DRIVING, LOL)
EDIT: I can see the differences in the black VS red in post #5, above...so I'm not hopeless!

None of my pictures had enough resolution to really zoom in on the growler, but the face does appear to be different somehow. I suspect I have a better picture at home somewhere. (Car is currently in a barn, under two covers.)
I have a 2014 V6S and the front growler has a black outline and looks like the one from the video. The
center caps on the wheels are black outline too.
I went with the "throwback" wheel cap Growlers that had the detailed gold Growler in the center with a black background and a silver rim. I also had the front Growler emblem custom plated to match the wheel caps... I had my front Growler emblem face gold plated to match these wheel caps...
All MY 2014 cars, regardless of model, have the black surround badge; the 2015 cars (all) had the red badge. And for owners outside of Canada and the US: the fact that a car was built in the 2014 calendar year does not make it a 2014 MY car! Mine is a 2015 model year car, built during late 2014.

Yes, production of the 2015 US model year started in mid-March 2014.
