Just floor it and lose the losers.
Are you speaking from personal experience, BMo? j/k

If you had a Telsa, you could have slipped by him without making any noise ... but then again that darn battery runs out and then what?

Indeed. And those marvelous accelerations in the Tesla draw a lot of amps/watts, substantially reducing range - and there's no such thing as a rapid roadside recharge. That green-approved solar charger won't quite do the job....it takes a smoke belching power plant to keep it running fast and clean.

The rest of that story is that, with a Tesla, my route would have been very different, longer, and none of this would have happened. There were no
Chargers for 350 miles on my interestate route.

Yeah, this is one of the biggest flaws with the Teslas right now IMO. Very difficult to use for a lot of road trips. Was driving one recently and used their map function to plan out a few hypothetical trips. Many of them were 2x or 3x the duration in order to stay charged and hit the superchargers. :-/

A similar thing happened to my wife about a year ago. Driving to work at 0dark30 on a rural road a car pulled up behind her and rode less than a car length behind. She slowed down so it could pass, only got closer. She then got frightened and sped up... at about 70 the f***** turned on the blue lights. SOB trooper smirked the whole time he wrote the ticket. Makes me understand how people can thoroughly distrust cops.
