A few weeks ago I asked the Forum about other options for opening my garage door if I ended up buying a new F-Type without Homelink, since a number of cars are showing up without this option.
So, reporting back, yesterday I installed an eKyro smart garage door controller (Amazon - $38).
It took about an hour to install and program. It adds Siri (or Alexa) voice control to opening/closing the garage door while retaining previous control methods.
So, while I have not yet bought a car without Homelink, I am now able to tell Siri (over Carplay) to open my garage door from the bottom of my driveway!
Another tech. innovation for bored DIY members!!

My 2018 F-Type R-Dynamic didn’t come with HomeLink from the factory. The dealer swapped out mirrors. It was a simple plug and play as the wiring already exists.
