I just realized a clicking sound that happens when gently tapping the gas pedal when the engine is running or just the power is on. It's much easier to hear when the engine is not running and just the power is on. It sounds like a clicking solenoid or actuator. I'm not sure if it was always there and I just realized it now but I'm curious if anyone has an idea what it is

 

These cars have a drive by wire / Electronic Pedal and Throttle Body. Under your dash, right above the pedal is the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor, and it controls the TB motor under the hood. That is likely what you are hearing.

Thank you. What's weird is when the hood is open and I replicate it, the sound seems to be coming from the area right by the brake fuild reservoir
