gas pedal is too high to get comfortable
I would like to lower my gas pedal so I can relax driving. seems that I'm always holding my foot back and leg up driving my 2001 XKR. does anyone know of kits to lower the gas pedal position?
Thank you,

Hi Gus,
Thanks for the reply. My under the hood gas pedal/throttle opening adjustment is already optimized. I'm looking to move the entire gas pedal assembly forward an inch and half or so.

That would be nice, but you would have to move the step down button also, and as you have probably noticed that would require major surgery. I moved my seat back 2" instead, but if you have side airbags that option is not available.
I too found the pedal positions less than ideal if I had the seat back as far as I wanted, my wife even more so!
My solution was to extend both pedals and the footrest back by two inches. The footrest was done by inserting a couple of lengths of pipe of the right diameter into the existing two large diameter plug/sockets. For the brake pedal, I bolted a suitably dimensioned block of hard wood to the pedal. This was topped off with a curved metal plate of the right thickness and shape to allow the original pedal rubber to fit over it. Finally for the throttle, I machined up a couple of suitable bits of aluminium with a pin on the lower one to replicate the bottom of the throttle lever and the top one suitably shaped to clip into the plastic pedal face. Hopefully the photos will make all this clearer!!
