Default Getting rid of exhaust resonator, replace with X-Pipe

Hi guys,
Does the X-Pipe exist for the R Type coupe ? And if so, has anyone done it ? I know most of you are probably saying, why what's the point, its already loud enough. Same as HP. we get the car with 550 HP and after a certain point, you think you need/want more power . same for me with the exhaust sound. The louder the nastier the better, as long as you still can control the butterfly toggle to make sound less or more. I'd love to know what the car would sound like with the addition of a X-Pipe. Anyone ....

Regarding exaust and more power for the F-type R you can find some more information on these threads:

Smile Thanks Arne

I do not like the sound of the Capristo cans. Stock cans sound much better to my ears. Also messing with headers is risky. My previous car was BMW M5. many aftermarket tuner outfits thought they can make headers for such a car, WRONG! the only proven tuning company for BMW is DINAN. and they are not cheap with pricing but whatever they have works for BMW. My point being, many claim, we can make this and that but they fall short in achieving what they promise to the customer. I only wish to add X-Pipe, nothing more.
Thank you my friend

The OEM exhaust already has an X-pipe.

The general consensus here is that the OEM exhaust flows well and any restriction is at the exhaust manifold making headers the only practical solution. I do agree that designing a proper set of headers is tricky, and I wouldn't want to be a guinea pig.

UBad2,
If you look at Foosh's pic of the original set-up, you can see that it already has an x-pipe.

That's why I gave him the links. The pics are there as well with some good comments

Default Wow ....

Guys...
I didn't know the car has OEM X-Pipe as part of the exhaust system. Thanks for sharing the picture. So... I guess making the car sound louder isn't possible , as its maxed out with optimal parts to make cars scream!!!
I don't think it worth switching the cans.

Oh yes, it's possible to make it MUCH louder by adding the Capristo exhaust in the picture and link above. However, you'd be spending nearly $10K and getting no extra power for the investment.
