Got my new F-Type R coupe today.
Just picked up my new Jaguar F-type. I built/ordered it in August. British Racing Green #5 with tan interior. I chose the solid roof with leather headliner. I haven't had the opportunity to drive it much yet but am looking forward to this weekend. It is beautiful if I do say so myself.
When I ordered I thought the SVO BRG would be without metallic flecks. In bright sunlight you can still see them. I am pleased nonetheless.
No kidding. First time I've seen those.

Thanks! I haven't seen any other with them. That option came with shiny metal pedals. I now have 55 miles on it. Still getting used to the backup camera. I'll give the parallel parking assist a try this weekend. Never thought I'd spend this much on a car but every time I look at it I smile.🙂
Hi Eric,
Congratulations for your new car and welcome in the MY20 club.
Very nice color choice !
As mine was a convertible stock car, I had no influence about equipement, but Santorini Black, same face, side vents also in chrome and same wheels as yours. But black mirrors.
What could be interesting now, to check if Jaguar also delivered the MY20 with gasoil catalysator (gpf) to the US. You may find out in the car papers, WLTP, and some other stuff as the V8R should now have about 249 Co2 gr/km. Interesting to follow also your car on the sound problematic if your drive in time is over.
And as we have deep winter here in Europe, it's not the right time to drive convertible, even with flu vaccination.

Congratulations on your convertible. Though I prefer the classic look of the solid topped coupe, I can already appreciate how fun I must be to tool about with the top down. 🙂
@Eric_E __ Praise yourself lucky ; the right "eyes" in the right colour ánd a matching interior..
The original E-Type had lots of chrome too. The wheel you chose are a bit modest.. ..lots of members
will be more then pleased to advise you on the options..

Anyway, I agree with you on the wheels. While building this car these were the closest option on their website that looked all chome-ish. I wanted the E-Type wire wheel look. Also, these were a no cost option that helped justify the extra cost of the SVO paint upgrade. 🙂
I saw an OEM set of wheels online that had a list price matching the list price of the set I got. I asked my dealer about switching for them but he said if it wasn't offered as a build option I couldn't do it.
I'm fine with these wheels for now knowing I can always change them in the future a lot easier than changing the paint.
