Default GT3RS Inspired Magnetic Shift paddles

I recently got a pair of the magnetic shift paddles as I felt that the OEM paddles just felt too flimsy. Coming from a sim-racing background, every paddle except the GT3RS Weissach paddles feel flimsy. These are literally plug and play and took me 10 mins to install them. Now it's much more tactile and addicting to shift gears. Can't wait to try them out for a canyon run on the weekend.

For me, the stock SVR padles are solid. Larger than the normal paddles and aluminum. They are a huge step up from the paddles on all the other F-Types.

It's not the feel of the paddle itself, it's the mechanism that feels lacking, unless they changed it for the SVR?

I'm pretty sure the mechanism is the same.

I guess I’m old school. I love the gear shift action alone for shifts in sport mode, and at least it’s implemented properly where shift up is back and shift down is forward. Some cars are the opposite and a lot of people can’t get on with that. It would be a problem for my brain too I think.

I literally never use the paddles so no need to upgrade ;-0

Here's a good comparison OEM vs. SVR vs. GD
All of them share exactly the same mechanism

A lot of people think it's "logical" to pull the stick back to go backwards (slower?) and forward to increase forward motion. Some people are just weird (and not in a good way!).

Yeah, I suppose. My brain works best with how it is implemented for some reason, so I like it.

I reprogramed my convertible top so back is down and forward is up. It just makes more sense to me.

Agreed. If you look at the shifter, R is forward and D/S is back, so it follows the same principle. And sequential gearboxes run the same way, too, so we're not alone!

Please share. Can you share the site to buy these at? I have these on all my sports cars and I can not find them for the FType. Thanks in advance.

I'd really like to know the source as well. I scoured the net for these, and was in process of reverse engineering the mounting pin assembly so I could 3D print some metal paddles. This would make life so much easier.

There's an ebay seller who clearly has some rebranded version (maybe these are all from Ali?). I took the leap and bought them just to try them out. Seems like they designed them for the Chinese JLR offering, but the pinout is the same on these so there should be no issue with compatibility. I guess I'll probably receive them in December.

Would like to know how involved the installation is?

5 minute job. T20 torx, out, harness unclip, reverse of removal for install. Took me maybe 2 minutes after the first time.

I've already done a switch out from peeling orange to black, very easy. These appear just as easy but I still don't understand the magnetic part.
