Default Hairline cracks in my headlights

Guys -

i took delivery of my car a couple days ago and have spent about 20 hours going through it to bring it up to my expectations. The previous owner wasn’t exactly meticulous in looking after it but I’m happy with the price and having a project.

I’ve noticed both of the lights have what amounts to very thin stress like fractures. I’ve attached a not-so-great pic for reference. I can post some better pics when it comes back from the shop tomorrow but I thought to check in and see if any of you have had any experience with this.

Thanks much for any feedback.

I would guess that car has been sitting in the sun a lot. That looks like UV degradation.

yeah maybe... any advice on where I could find some used ones? I found a few salvage yards and they're asking upwards of $1500 each!

Hello Diorama Sky:

Did you ever get this resolved? What did you end up doing?

I've had the same occur to mine. Moisture build up. Now the headlight does not work.

Please advise.

There isn't much you can do outside of replacement. I had mine replaced under warranty. There is a TSB out about headlight issues. If you are still under warranty that would be your best move.
