Default Hankook Ventus S1 evo3

This may only apply to non-US forum members (as I don't think they sell it over there), but has anyone used the Hankook Ventus S1 evo3 (k127) tires on their F-type? If so, would you recommend?

Robtrt8, thanks for the link, and I should have made myself more clear. I don't think they sell f-type tire sizes in the US. In any case, I heard they are not bad tires, but was wondering if any of you have first hand experience.

Gotcha.
My only experience with Hankook was when I was selling and installing tires in a performance shop. I was amazed at how consistently well the Hankooks spun up on the Hunter Road Force balancer. Some of the better known names are amazingly uneven.
I've tried a bunch of different tires, all with that same PS2 style tread. Most are very good. Just comes down to compound tradeoffs.
Falken's don't last a minute. Continentals last way too long and suck the whole time. I usually go for Pirelli, Bridgestone and Michelin. In that order.

Interesting feedback; I run Hankook summer tires on a couple cars and love them - also found them to balance easy and ride exceptionally well. I have had really random results from Continental - Great on my pickup, ran well and lasted a long time on my little race hatchback (including 3 days of spirited driving on the tail of the dragon), but I burned through a set on the rear of a G37 coupe in less than 500 miles (like so bad I took the car out when it was raining and had to return home and select alternate transportation - dangerous - front set of the same tire were perfect) Just keep in mind that the Michelin MP4S tires are the forum standard and are recommended in most threads, even those not about the car or tires. As stated before, I've had numerous sets of Michelins; all summer tires, and they were great, but I had several issues with the new Pilot Sports on the F-type and grew tired of going back for re-balancing and replacing - I ended up opting for a completely different set of shoes and they are great. If/when I wear these out, I would consider them again, but not the be all - end all they are made out to be.

I have run Hankook Ventus on my 911 Turbo and they are very good tires for the price. Not a Michellin, but about 80+ % as good and a lot cheaper.

And I used Hankook Evo V12 tires on my 2007 XK - very smooth, quiet and the car handled very well and securely...and the tires were handsome. I would not hesitate to put Hankooks on my F-Type...but instead I put on Michelin Pilot Sport 4s....

+1 - I have the same tires on a German car with much less power than your porsche, but have been really pleased. The choices for the f-ype with staggered fitment were fairly limited (didnt want focus on price and wasn't set on needing a "Z" rating as I use it as my pizza pick-up machine), but I ended up buying a set of Firestone Indy500. I got the Michelins at Discount Tire Direct and after the issues had to choose something else - they don't sell Firestone, but they ordered them for me and after the group discount (I also re-shoed the Wrangler) and a Firestone promotion, I think I paid like $810 out the door which included mounting/balancing and tire certs for road hazard. The are so much better than stock runner and I think the performance is excellent - Great grip and have never given an inch when pushed around corners.

I had Hankook tires on my XKR, and thought they were the noisiest tires I had ever heard on a car, and I had to get rid of them as I couldn't stand it.

+1, I had the Indy 500's on my G35. They were great all-rounders. Relatively quiet, great grip in dry/wet, and a killer value. I'm pretty sure they saved me from rear-ending someone once in the rain when I was (not joking) caught looking at a rainbow.. lol.

Recalled garbage tires from a brand that provides zero service to customers and dealers, real life experience. You bought an F-Type, don't cheap on the tires, go Michelin

I had the hankook ventus evo on my V8 XF (RWD) and they were excellent.

When they finally wore I Replaced with the Michelin's now which are also great. For the price I was v impressed with the hankook.
