I doubt if anyone has tried this let alone done it.
For starters I can't see how it would be legal regards safety / child seat anchor point regs, and I also struggle to see how you could fit a baby seat in there height-wise anyway, even laid back as far as it would go.

Weird - I thought I read Jag has a specific compatible baby seat for the F-type?

Yep, but it's for the passenger seat not the hatch!

Yes. But baby in trunk always freaks out when the convertible top goes up/down....

I just fit a baby seat while still in the box in the passenger seat of my coupe to deliver it as a gift.

Just strap the kid to the roof. No worries...you can always make a spare or two.

Whoa I’m realizing the confusion now - I’m talking about storing it, I don’t mean setting up the seat in the trunk for a baby to sit in. My wife was just wondering if it’s possible in case I need to have a non-baby passenger that I need to clear out the passenger seat for (and I’m not home at the time to store the baby seat in the garage).

Put a carry bag for a baby in the trunk, and get a busride..

It depends on the seat. I have a couple of booster-type with a detachable back that fit easily. I also have an infant seat that fits. But, a larger seat that covers a wide size/weight range won't fit - not enough depth.

Thank you! This is what I needed to know.

Btw, are you using ISOFIX seats? I’m confused on what attachment the seats need to be, as multiple threads state there are no clips in the F-type, but jaguar’s own f-type specific baby seats state they are ISOFIX.

The booster seats just strap in with the shoulder belt. I've never installed the infant seat in the F-Type, so I never checked for clips.
For reference, the booster is:

I've had a few boxes where I have had to remove the hatch cover in order to get the hatch to close
