Head lamp unit removal
Hello,
How easy is it to get to the lower LHS headlamp securing bolt in a 22MY F Type? Just trying to figurer out how much disassembly of the car front would be needed?
I have seen the
of the pre facelift models but would be great to hear of anyone with experience of trying similar of the post facelift.

When I was looking to buy, several of the cars had more than normal condensation in one or both headlights… The last one I saw even had one (passenger side) headlight that the integrated turn signal had stopped working.
Maybe that is the situation of the OP?
Jaguar had documented guidelines on how much condensation is normal before replacing under warranty.

I’ve never seen anything like that yet. At least not that I’ve noticed.
Front bumper off job to remove the headlights. Both access to the bolt and also the lower bracket that the bumper slides over will prevent removal without the bumper being dropped. Bumper fit is also impacted by an adjustable standoff on top of the headlight.
Thanks for the information, its really helpful to know what to prepare for.
Regarding previous questions. Yes I am seeing condensation, it goes after being left in the sun for a few minutes, it would be regarding as normal in relation to Jaguars guidance notes. However I quite enjoy doing some smaller work and might be interested enough to see if any improvement is possible.

There prob is a vent in the headlight assemblies to equalize pressure due to changes in ambient temperatures. Our headlamps have visible condensation a couple times a year, after a wash.

@SteveGZ What would you do once you removed the headlight?
Condensation is usually from the wiring harness entry or a tiny opening in the lens seal allowing outside air (with moisture) to be pulled in as the temperature drops.
This is why outdoor landscape lights develop condensation regardless of how well sealed - the wire entry point is the culprit.
