Default Helmet for Project 7

I just received an email requesting my " Head Size"

Today, we are delighted to inform you that later this year you will also be receiving a Project 7 branded helmet manufactured by Bell Helmets, exquisitely airbrushed to match your car. (This example shows the design in British Racing Green.)

With an exclusive design by Jaguar, this Bell helmet is not available to order anywhere else and carries full Snell SA2010/FIA 8858-2010 certification.

That is a sweet deal. I would have somebody clear wrap it to not get it scratched and nicked.

Too cool. For that alone, it's worth buying a Project 7.

Very cool, would be nice if you could order one matched to any car.

I would love an IRR one with a white stripe like that for my IRR Vert.

That's what white duct tape is for.

Default Helmet/ Delivery

Hi Zach : I was just told there is an additional delay for my (US) project 7. Expected date is now Nov. 17. I haven't been contacted about the helmet. Could you share address of helmet size request originator?

I was contacted by my dealer, who forwarded the info directly from Jaguar. This was back at the beginning of March.

The originator of the demand was Jaguar Canada Market Manager.

You need to contact your dealer. Sounds like they are dropping the ball. Who told you there is going to be a delay in delivery of your car ? The dealer or Jaguar?

I find that the dealers are clueless and have no idea what is going on. I am aware that there is a delay in production due to fitment of body parts. I have a contact who works on the production line at SVO. Jaguar sent me a letter advising that my car would be delivered by the end of October.

Default Helmet Etc.

Hi Zach: Thanks for the information. I will pursue it. I was given the Nov. 17 date by the dealer who said that a Jaguar U.S. rep would call me. Previously the dealer said the car was listed on his Sept deliveries. The ftypeproject7.com website that I'm sure you're on updated from 'order received' to 'build progress-stage 5-vehicle dynamics' on 24 August. I assumed if it wasn't already on the boat by then it wasn't going to be here in September. Thanks again. JPD

Ask your dealer for your VIN number. If you have the VIN then your car is set to be made. You can then go to

https://www.2wglobal.com/webapps?url...uickSearchPage

enter your vin number and if they have received your car you can trace the ship and car location.

Then once you know the ships name you can go to

https://www.marinetraffic.com/

you can watch the ship in real time and see when it stops at each port. Then depending on where your dealer is and which port they receive the cars from you will be able to follow the car up to the dealer.

Harry Metcalf (founder of EVO magazine and advisor to JLR special vehicle operations) posted photos of his new Project 7 helmet today.

As someone commented on Twitter: "THAT is a seriously cool lid!"
