Hi everyone, I have a 2017 F type base, every time I UNLOCK the car it beeps twice (same noise as when you push Handel in with keys inside) It is driving me crazy and if anyone has a fix I'd appreciate it greatly!! Thanks guys

Isn't that what it's supposed to do? I don't know. Or, I should say, I don't remember. I hate the beeps and turn them off on Day 1.

 

Nup, it's not supposed to beep at all when you unlock it.
The double beep you can turn off is for locking, not unlocking.

 

OK. As noted, I turned off the beeps because I really don't like them.

So, for the original question, I guess my answer is "I have no idea."

 

What a goofy symptom. That would drive me CRAZY. Take it to the dealer.

 

For the past 15 years, my MINI has beeped twice when I unlock it and once when I lock it. Maybe that's why I'm unhingd.

Help !!!! is driving me nuts - everytime I unlock it beeps twice, people turn their heads as if I’m calling for attn Beep beep I’ve arrived look at my fancy car.

 

Is there an option in the vehicle settings to turn it off? I think it might be region specific, mine only beeps once when double-locked, and never on unlock.

 

Take it to the dealer. It isn't supposed to do this.

 

The car is letting you know that the alarm has been triggered while you were away. Or there is a faulty alarm sensor, which is most likely the case...

 

If that's the case, the Car Information menu should show something under "Last Alarm." It might be helpful information. One of my Ducatis used to routinely set off car alarms when I pulled in the clutch. The dry clutch plates ringing would trigger glass break detectors.

 

Driver's latch needs to be replaced, $850, opted to disconnect the alarm horn instead.
