Default Help me find my F type....please!

Hello Everyone.
I'm searching all the online car sales sites with no luck. Hoping maybe one of you comes across a local to you F type that meets my requirements that might be under the radar and would let me know.
2016 CPO or 2017, S, AWD, silver (any shade), coupe, upgraded seats, vision and premium packages, 20" wheels (preferably not black). Around $45K.
I check cars.com, cargurus.com, truecar.com, autotrader.com, and ebay every night. If you see one there, I've probably already seen it, so no need to contact me on that one.
I sure would be grateful for the help!
Best regards!
Sean

Set up a custom search that will alert you. The only thing you'll have to look through is probably the options, which aren't often sortable. I've done it on autotrader.

+1. Most of those sites offer search notifications. That makes the wait much easier if you don’t have to be disappointed on a daily basis coming up empty.

Search notifications set. Still hoping someone here will notify me if they come across one for sale near them that may not be listed on one of those sites.
Thanks all!

Keep searching. A CPO with AWD and some of the upgrades most likely will run you over 45k sadly.

There's only one shade of silver (Rhodium Silver), unless you're also considering the various shades of grey?

You'll have to make choice as to what matters most:
  • Do you want the car quickly or are you will to wait for a car with all of your specific requests?

If you want a car quickly, the easiest thing to change on a car these days is the exterior color. With that, you could find a car that has just about everything except for the exterior color choice. Drive it for a year and then if you still want silver, get a wrap done.

It took me five months to find the right car. And I was fairly flexible on color, just did not want silver (love silver, just have had too many cars that shade) or black. That said, it "seemed" the market had a surge of silver and black cars while I was looking. I was a chronic lurker on all the sites (and others) you mentioned...but found my car on Jag's website...was not listed elsewhere. I will say, that the skies just opened one day and I found the perfect machine...as others have said, be patient...it'll come to you.

I've waited almost 3 years now for my opportunity. I can wait a bit longer. Hoping that some more off lease '17's will come available before the end of the year at a good price. I am tempted by a '17 white S that has everything I want, even a nice red interior, but I just think white hides the lines of the F type a bit too much and there are several white ones in the area already. I'd love to do a wrap in the silver of my choice, something closer to AM's 'skyfall silver' but my better half says no.

That is your decision to make. You have a pretty specific list and I don't think it's going to be easy to get "everything" when going for a used vehicle. Since winter is around the corner, it's probably not a big deal. However, as spring hits, I'd rather be driving a great car with color I could live with rather than not at all.

That being said, you should probably rate the options you want in a car from 1 - X. Put at the top the option that is a must or you aren't even looking at the car. If that's exterior color, then that's what it is and go down the list. As I mentioned, that and wheels are two easiest things to change so for me, those would be lower. For example, "Coupe" would be my #1.

Same day we test drove our Black one, we also test drove a white 15R, I do love my blacked out version, but if the whtie one had not had a accident on the carfax, it would have went home with us.. the white has just enought black accents to really make it pop.

This is a long shot but I have a 2019 F-Type P340 that will be available this time next year. It is a manual transmission coupe, British Racing Green with upgraded Saddle interior and some nice options (Glass Roof, Flat Bottom Steering Wheel, all chrome done in black (factory option), etc. The car has about 4,000 miles on it and is stored in a heated space each winter. It will be coming off a 39 month lease in October 2021 and I hate to see it go back to the dealer, as they will probably rape somebody on the price. The MT makes it a rather unique car. For model year 2019 less than 2% of the cars that came to the US were manual transmission cars. Interior and exterior are flawless. I ordered the car and had to wait forever for it to come from the UK b/c I wanted a manual trans. I will have to check the end of lease buyout but I think it's somewhere in the mid to high 40K range.

Try aristocrat jaguar in merriam ks. I seem to recall they has a white one similar to the specs you want. Its listed under used.

When I bought my car I compromised on color. I really wanted Sapphire Blue or British Racing Green but ended up with Ultimate Black which was somewhere in the middle in terms of preference. I had a paint correction done and it's really grown on me since.
There's nothing more frustrating than finding the unicorn color/spec combination and then finding the vehicle hasn't been treated well by the previous owner...

This should be essentially the primary criteria when considering a used F type. Having a car that looks mint and you have confidence in will yield far more personal enjoyment than any combination of colors/options, and as others have said, remedying color/wheel preferences will likely be a much easier task than hunting down a poorly maintained vehicle's gremlins.

Thanks all! I know I'm being quite picky. I don't want any buyer's remorse on this one. Its a major purchase for me and one that I've looked forward to for a long time, so I'm going to wait for the right one. Of course I won't compromise the mechanical condition or service history of the car for exterior color choice. I've passed on a few silver ones during my search due to poor service history or dealers that didn't instill confidence. I'm sure there is a silver S AWD out there that will tick most, if not all, the boxes. I am grateful though for any help this forum can give me in finding it! The more eyes, the better.
