Of course I won't compromise the mechanical condition or service history of the car for exterior color choice. I've passed on a few silver ones during my search due to poor service history or dealers that didn't instill confidence. I'm sure there is a silver S AWD out there that will tick most, if not all, the boxes. I am grateful though for any help this forum can give me in finding it! The more eyes, the better.
Take it from me, I rushed and bought a carp gray for a deal when I wanted Green badly. Now considering getting the car painted spruce mica green. The gray is growing on me but not my fave.

Like you, I am patient and with cars, its not a need item and I will wait for the "right" deal that provides the best value to me. That side, there is no assurance that waiting for the "perfect" car or finding one with a great service history will not lead to buyers remorse. There are literally thousands of parts required to operate correctly fort a car to operate trouble-free. I've owned 36-40 vehicles and the majority of those over the past 15 years have been costly enough that I want to perform all available due diligence - inspections etc, but that guarantees nothing. My last Audi purchase ended up with an out-of-court settlement for a car that appeared and acted perfectly (bought with $4k miles); however, after 152 days in service in a 6 month period, it became clear that the car was not going to be around long. No doubt, some of it is luck and timing and there is nothing wrong with taking all precautions, but I have seen many example's of cars that were never inspected run forever with virtually no maintenance and cars with great service records that have catastrophic failures. I guess what I'm saying is that you will really never have complete assurance that you are not compromising on mechanical condition. I was specific on color/options etc, and when I found it, I checked the service records and pulled the trigger - it was a good price and I took a leap. at some point, that's what is always comes down too- even new cars; warranty is great, but if the servicing dealer sucks it can be a nightmare and nobody is buying a new car hoping to have numerous service problems but it happens. Best of luck finding the right combination.

Thanks! I also think Black looks great! All of my other cars are black, in fact. But after seeing this one and envisioning what I could wrap and modify, I liked it and took a chance. Not disappointed so far.

I love the white and think the contrast of the black and panoramic roof really set it off. That was my top choice but just bought a grey with very low miles and from my cousin at a dealer so I was able to get a 4 year bumper to bumper warranty cheap as well. Still LOVE the white.

Many, many congrats. The cost on extended warranties for these cars tells it own stories on reliability. I was blown away by how affordable my extended warranty was, about half as much as the same warranty I'd bought for an M3 several years earlier. That tells me what the actuaries who actual calculate costs based on real history believe about Jags, good news story

The one I just picked up had everything we wanted, ultimate black R coupe, AWD, NOT blacked out chrome or wheels, vision, extended leather.
$45,500, 55,000 miles and 5 hours away.
It was not listed as CPO but when I called to ask about the car they read the CARFAX to me and it had been sold CPO to the PO.

Not one for recommending anyone but I was amazed at the price I paid for my 2017 F-Type R. Talk with Mr Azzam Mohamed. Bet he will either find what your looking for or may have it right there in stock. Give him a "shake"...what could it hurt?
