Hi everyone, my hood struts have stopped working. I'm going to have to replace them, but since this is a pretty easy "repair," I figure I can probably do it myself. The only problem is I can't seem to find a new pair for sale online. Does anyone know where I can buy them, or, if an aftermarket pair will work just as well, what would be compatible?

Very easy to pop off and change. Jaguar has some rape prices - Part# is T2P1148 (Same for both sides). List is $174.00 Each and dealers have them "discounted" to ~$125 (Still robbery). They are nothing special. You can buy an entire set that will fit (also includes rear struts for a convertible...(just toss the extras) for $79.95 for the whole set on eBay LINK HERE.

Yes, I have some cheapo replacements from fleabay or scamazon, forget which, that have lasted about 5 years in FL heat. The Lesjforzwsfrt are decent quality?

 

I also have purchased the Lesjofors struts that the link points to on the bay. You can not tell the difference other than the painted on brand name versus the Jaguar branded. No complaints.
