How to access the brake light wires?
Hello all,
I'm trying to see before I buy these LED smart brake light strips how difficult it would be to install these.
Basically, they operate when turn signals are used and when the brakes apply they brighten up, etc.
I need to access the assembly/wiring location to I guess plug them in. Is there a way to access it through the trunk or is this a project that involves the removal of the rear bumper?

You will need to remove the rear bumper, which involves removing most of the rear interior as well. Reference this:
I think you will need to go a bit further and remove the sides of the interior as well, in order to remove the lights. I think they need to come out to access the wiring to them (but to be honest I am not 100% sure and I deleted the photos I took when swapping my lights).

wow this was more involved than I thought. I saw people installing it on their cars in the reviews and seemed to be very simple for most other cars. Of course the Jag has to be overly complicated... maybe I could bring this into a shop I guess.
