Default How to clean the radiator above the splitter

So I posted about my trip to the mountains. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...dragon-253533/

Cleaning the car I found Lots of leaves lower radiator. Is that an oil cooler or a transmission cooler?

Anyhow, how do you clean this? It appears to close in on itself leaving no way for debris to get out. Do you have to just break ot the vacuum cleaner?

The first 2 pics are for location and the 3rd is all the crap I pulled out of it.

Thanks for the help

I guess a vacuum with narrow tube attachment is best. Otherwise your disassembling a million screws for the splitter under tray and cowl.

Now I wish I hadn’t looked at mine. I’ll pick out the whole oak leaves, and see how the compressor works for the rest. Hope there aren’t trees growing in there!

Try compressed air if you have it available.

Blow it out from behind, maybe?

Best, safest, and most correct approach (and time consuming) is to remove the front bumper/facia, and you will have full access to clean it properly. Otherwise, you can likely get the larger stuff out with a narrow vacuum device.

Bumper removal is about a 20-30 minute task...Not that bad really. I think there are lots of good tips on removal on the Project 7 Grille Threads that I and others posted in.

Good luck...
