Default How do you replace the passenger side lightbulb?

I'm stuck, there is the front charging box in the way and I can't access the bulb. I've removed the bolts and it will not move out of the way because of the big Red cable being routed under the car.

Don't know which lights, and what year you have. I always start with OzXFR's repair manual. Section 417-01 (p. 17079) discusses exterior lights.

You remove the entire lighting unit. Bolts obvious when you have the hood open, and others when you pull back the wheel well liner.

There is an access panel just under the headlamp in the wheel well. It's just large enough to reach into. I suspect that is used to get to the Xenon bulb. The entire headlamp unit does not need to be replaced like on some cars, so it would be absurd to have to remove the headlamp just to remove the bulb. I guess Jaguar has done worse things in the past.

I replaced both bulbs about a year ago, and for the passenger side one (driver's side for me) where the charging post is (under the red cover shown in the pics above) I undid the bolts holding the box down and managed to move it out of the way far enough to access the rear of the light cluster, just enough to get the dust cover off, the OEM bulb out and the new bulb in. But it was a real chore and resulted in lots of skun knuckles. Maybe I had more play in the cable than the OP does, but there was just enough slack to move the box an inch or so.
I found the bulb on the other side was even harder to get at, and in the end I undid the bolt which holds the power steering reservoir in place and moved it out of the way, but again I could only move it juuuust far enough to gain tight access to the back of the light cluster.
If I ever replace the headlight bulbs again I intend to try loosening the bumper off and removing the light clusters from the car, I read somewhere that you can get the lights out this way without having to completely drop the front clip.

Actually this (removing the whole unit) is exactly what you do to replace a bulb in the XK headlamp assembly...but it is very easy to do on the XK, perhaps not quite so easy on the F-Type.
