How much do you think dealers will discount the 2017 F-Types?

Not to get into the lease vs buy discussion again. But one reason I look to lease especially this time of the year is the interest rate. Right now the MF is 0.0001 or .024%. Over 3 years you’re paying less than $60 in total interest.
Assuming the buy vs lease price is the same ... if you plan to keep the car why not borrow the money initially for free? With the added advantage that you can walk away from it in the event of a wreck or values plummet.

Actually, NOT right now. I had found a dealer willing a few months back but the discounts at that time were $5-$10K less than they are currently (e.g. $89K on a $112K R at that time) and the money factor was slightly higher (.00009) than now. Unfortunately that particular car ($88K) didn't have the Vision package so it was a non-starter. A few members here did buy their R's back at that time in the $87-$89K range with the .00009 MF so it was possible at that time.
However, now that there are even larger discounts, it is tougher to get a dealer willing to agree to an $80K purchase price AND the .00002 MF. I tried seven different dealers that are known to be aggressive and none were willing to lease their R's for the advertised "sales" of from $78K to $84K. As soon as leasing was introduced into the conversation the $78K car became a $88K (Ohio I think) and the $80K became a $89K (Oklahoma) and the $82K became $93K (Honburg in Cali) at the .00002 MF (1/2 of 1%). I was happy to finally settle on a hybrid reduced mark up and sub-1% MF AND agreed to honor my JCNA for an additional $2,500 on top of their "final" number.

Received Fancy Jaguar mailer yesterday. Contained an offer of an additional $3000 after making your best deal on any '17 F Type. With Jaguar dealer incentives running from $10k for base to $30k on svr there are probably $40k off at the top end. Problem of course is finding one you want.

Leased a 17 R last week from hornburg LA at 89k and .00002 MF. 57k residual plus 2k customer rebate (so effectively 87k) and MSRP 109k. If I was buying, that price would of been significantly lower to ndabunka's point. I think each person has there own factors/rational that make either a purchase make sense for them or a lease. Key is to try and get the best value in each scenario--if you are leasing, a good sight to validate/checkout is lease hackers https://leasehackr.com/ to help you understand the deal and moving parts. If you don't have 730 plus credit, leasing might not be as viable as the numbers you can pull erode rapidly.

I probably should have stated that my effective final price was $85K after all discounts on a $111,058 MSRP vehicle. As stated above, I was not able to get the .00002 MF (1/2 of 1%) but I was able to keep the financing under 1% so Abarak is probably making basically the same monthly payment even though his may have had a $2K higher purchase price as that was most likely fully offset by his lower, fully discounted MF.
