Does anyone know how to replace this disposable flap? Mine's got pretty scruffed up and I'd like to purchase a new one and replace it without having to go to the dealer.

What would the part number be and is it possible to do it myself without a jack stand?

It's very easy, and yes it can be done w/o lifting the car off the ground. If you look underneath, you'll see the fasteners that need to be removed. Once removed the old part will just drop off, and you simply reinstall the new part with the same fasteners.

 

As others mentioned in DJS' cited thread, I also view the part as disposable--a sacrificial piece to protect more expensive pieces. After taking a scrape or two every so often, I just sand it smooth and call it a day. If I replaced it, I'd just be back with my sander eventually. But, at my current rate of sanding, I figure I have about 329 sandings left before I have to replace it.

 

I had my doubts, but even with the H&R lowering, you can easily get at the mounting bolts with a (8 or 10mm) socket wrench. However, with the lowering there's no way to look up underneath...you'd have to feel your way.
For the part number, just call your dealer's parts department. I have yet to find any Jag parts departments unwilling to freely share part numbers.

 

You could gain a few inches by driving the front wheels onto 2x10" scraps.

Have no clue why they would have different part numbers for with vs. without Ceramic Brakes, but best be sure you select the correct items for your car.
