Is this an ad? It reads a lot like an ad.

Internet forums like this require money to keep operating, and much of that comes from sponsors and paid advertisements.

That was indeed pretty disgusting.

Indeed. I don't object to advertising. Sponsored content like this however is a rather unfortunate form of advertising. Sponsored content like this where it isn't noted that it's paid placement is very poor form.

Some ads cost more than others.

It was pretty clear to me that it was an ad before I opened it, and unlike some of the crap posts here from Ford etc, at least it is relevant to our F- Types, even if it is mostly expensive and ugly.

I can't tell if you think I actually don't know how internet advertising works or if you are justifying their decision to run ads like this.

Unmarked sponsored content is an unethical form of advertising that no one who takes their credibility seriously would do. It means that no content this site produces can be taken seriously which is a damn shame IMO and not at all necessary given that I'm typing this reply while 12 different ads have rendered on this page, not counting the list of forum sponsors.

I'm not interested in debating this subject with you. You were the one asking the questions.

This forum operates no differently than any of the dozen or so forums I've had experience with. The way I look at it is that 99.9% of forum participants are here on a free ride, but someone has to pay for it. I'd suggest you take it up with the moderators if you find the advertising "unethical."

Actually, I am interested in seeing offerings from companies that take the time to produce modifications for the F-Type. Joining these forums is one method to discover such products. I share the idea that the leaper on the F-Type was a hideous mistake.

However, the interior re-work is something I would be quite interested in, if it were not in Germany only.

I think it would be more beneficial if the company actually participated in this thread or ones like it. Similar to how VMax has been pretty proactive in answering questions and providing extra information.

You can turn any Car into a Jag, up to about 10mph.
