Inconsistent audio performance after upgrade?
Yes, a sine sweep. The audiophiles on here could tell you roughly where the crossover points are, and thus what frequency range you should hear from the tweeters and other drivers.
Unless you removed the factory protection capacitors, all of the tweeters have them, from your tweeters chances are small that the are blown. They are probably crossed over high in excess of 3000k which would tend to sound tinny by themselves or if you were to place your ear next to them when they play. Also surround mode may absolutely change the levels and sound
characteristics completely on the L&R tweeters, all depends on the processing that is occurring in the factory amplifiers dsp, not uncommon. Only JLR and Meridian knows what's really going on in their factoy DSP amp, this is why i got rid of it.

And yes the surround mode definitely changes the volume, significantly louder in surround mode, i have noticed it before any work were done.
I’d love to have a dedicated system but it’s a tough pill to swallow, the foundations are already done, but the price and effort to tune it to perfection is not what I’m willing to do (read: I’m broke)
I was heavy into Car Audio back in 1989 - 1994 doing IASCA competitions, Bass off's etc.. but eventually go out due to life's priorities. Decided to revisit the possibilities in 2021 after getting my 2020 R mainly because of the horrendous quality of the Meridian 380 system, Jaguar should be embarrassed to have let the car be sold like that. It was almost like I had passed thru a time warp when I started to see the new amplifier and DSP capabilities that had developed since I left Car Audio. I started with Audio control because of may experience with the brand back in the 90's. Definitely a premature decision as I was not very happy with the final results I achieved, Audio control not the same as it use to be back in the day. The DSP software tools just not really that capable when trying to undo the Jaguar processing inside the Factory DSP Amplifier.
Didn't really want to spend anymore money to change due to no digital decoder interface capable of intercepting and decoding the Digital Ethernet stream from the Jaguar IMC which woiuld allow a nice flat signal for aftermarket DSP. Tons more reading, learning, and talking to many other that never left the game. Waiting, and waiting, and waiting with little hope someone would produce an interface for JLR Digital Ethernet and then Dale Melton posted it. Finally there was hope which then led me to Audiotec Fischer Helix. While they do have exceptional tools in their software to analyze incoming factory signal I wanted a fresh non-processed flat signal to start with. Have not had time to devote to it but I will add a link to this post when I finish putting together the log for my latest build.

Yes, the Audiophile rabbit hole can run deep, get expensive, and once you enter it can be hard to escape. I kind of liken the satisfaction some car audiophile enthusiast might get from achieving audio nirvana maybe to the rush an addict might get from his fix of choice, without the DT's.

The curse of a low volume model from a dying brand, a business would be out of their mind to create a product that only fits the f type, let alone one that’d only attract a small portion of a niche/speciality market.
Here’s one of the TSBs…

edit: wait no, there was another one for amp having the wrong file causing tweeter problem (coupe only), the car no longer rattles and buzzes after all the felt tapping, sound deadening and proofing.
here were go

Videos are up, a bit lengthy, thanks in advance if anyone spends the time to listen to them, all of them were recorded using the same phone, doors closed, engine off, forgot to turn off the ac though so the fan was blowing..
music might be copyrighted but the sine wave sweep is good, the tweeters seems to work the same stereo or surround mode, with surround mode always naturally having higher volume (car volume not changed, it was at a comfortable level, slightly too loud to carry on a conversation with the passenger.)
Type of recording is on the tile. I stop hearing anything right past 10k on the sine sweep.
Doesn’t sound too different recorded on a phone tbh, and who know what YouTube does to compress the sound further, i need a little nap now.
