Default Interior Accent lighting

I really have to look hard to see the effect of the so-called accent lighting on the interior of my 2017. I really think a well done (read classy) system like on some of the newer Mercedes, BMWs, etc., adds to the interior feel. I don't mean just bulbs, but the light-tube style where it runs through the trim. Has anyone seen or done upgrades to suggest?

Not a bug. They’re all like that.

I replaced all the lights in my '06 XK8 with LEDs. Made a big difference, but I think most of the lights in the F-Type are already LED.

Yes, most are LEDs and difficult if not impossible to replace (eg the overhead console lights).
The ones that I know for sure are old-fashioned crappy yellow halogens are the footwell lights.
I replaced those with nice bright white LEDs (COB "chip on board" type) years ago, although they are a tad difficult to get at.

It appears the door handle backlight stays the same throughout, but the door panel (below) should change through the options:

It is accessed through the infotainment screen under extras. Buried in one of the submenus you can adjust five different colors and intensities. You can kind of see it on the screen in my picture.

I believe the changeable ambient lighting was an option, at least initially.

^^^ It's still an option (in the UK at least) on the non-R models. I opted for it on my P450 because it was only another 100 quid or so, with the performance seats, and on what I was paying it was peanuts for something that I could play with. Honestly, I really just liked the idea of the illuminated treadplates that are part of the same pack.
