Default Jack Stand Recall

Just a heads up if anyone has jack stands from Harbor Freight.
They have issued a recall.
Since I don't own any I did not read any further and have no further information.

Hmmm...is anyone really surprised? Harbor freight, though, is a great source for throw-away tools when needed.

It is not all stands. Specific batch or lots. You need to check your stands for lot numbers if from Harbor Freight.

I have a set of the grey ones, checking the #s tonite.
1) THANKS TO THIS SITE! You, know, HF asks for my info EVERY TIME I buy something; I would have expected an email to say this was happening.
2) To be fair, I get some things from HF,but the tools I really use... are ... 'better'....
3) I got a high rise trans lift from them, $199.00. It worked... once.... that was it. I got my money back.
4) But, some things are just fine and last and are a good value... caveat emptor

I have bought several items from H.F. Went to their new Store 2 weeks after opening. Stood in line 30 min. as they only had 2 of 6 lanes open. Manager kept bringing customers to the front of the line to "Exchange/ Return" defective items. I finally set down my basket and walked out. "One and Done" should be their motto. Total waste of good money and time.

Harbor Freight expanded their recall to additional stands including those that they didn't find were faulty. I returned my set today even they were were not officially faulty for cash refund. I don't think I would feel comfortable under the car considering so many have been found to be deficient.

Wise move! There’s no arguing with gravity.
