wonder if there's a mode that you can completely turn off the front wheels...since it's computer control there should be a "hooligan" mode

Those new body colored design pack side wings kind of make the car look fat and bulky in this video.

Agreed, I like lines of the car better w/o those sill extensions that come with the design pack.

Yes I thought I would like them but I guess I had never really seen them in a representative picture.

I think I see why it looks worse.

Basically, the F-Type is supposed to resemble a woman's curves. Big ***, narrow waist etc.

What the new side sill things do is take away the waist. Looks like a woman with a beer belly.

I like the new painted, body-color rear diffuser on the v8 instead of the plain plastic panel on the 2015s.

Agreed...and I don't like the body-colored side sills either...it makes the car look fat and bloated, especially in White.
First thing I'd be painting black...

I wonder how difficult it is to remove the side sills? Either get them painted black or altogether leave them off.

My understanding and experience of most DCT/PDK systems are that in everyday driving they are overkill or not smooth in shifting. When you really push the car is when those systems shine so if they can't shine when i'm just cruising around town then I don't really want it.

If that's the case then they are either not designed well or not tuned well. For example, the PDK that Porsche has built is phenomenal. Smooth and very fast shifts.

I've heard that about the PDK, but the unit in last gen. M3 was a bit harsh. The new ZF 8-speed has gotten so good that the lag is essentially gone now, and the difference between it and dual-clutch autos almost not noticeable.

A thought just occurred to me. The awd works off traction control system does it not? It's the system that will regulate how much power to send to the front wheel. If dsc is turned completely off, wouldn't the system become full rwd? Not sure what track DCT would do to power splitting, but full off should turn off awd.

Thoughts?

No experience with other dual clutches, but I really liked the PDK in my 2013 991. I just think from a PR/Marketing perspective, having a dual clutch elevates the F-Type into proper sports car.
