Ah, that is the new F-Type, not the XF. Those are two different cars. Think of the F-Type as a baby XK. The F-Type is supposed to be Jaguars new lower end sports car to compete against the M3/Z4 cars.

Seriously sweet Jag.

Have been waiting ever since I saw first sketches. As was the X-type in the past, the F is on my list. Hope it drives as good as it looks. But I'd wait for the Coupe version. Something tells me it should feel even better on the track!

P.S. There are some elements that remind of Lambos and Astons.

For instance

According to the NYT, pricing starts at $69,875 for the V6 Supercharged, and ranges beyond $92,000 for an F-Type fitted with the V8 Supercharged.

Jaguar USA already has a car configurator for the F-Type up so you can waste your day.

Looks like it came from the Saturn Sky / Honda S2000 / Lexus gene pool. And what's with that console brace on the passenger side? That by itself would turn me off from buying the car, a big old lop-sided interior trim piece like that. Why stop there? Why not just one door arm rest? Or two, not three spokes on the steering wheel? It's a nice-looking car, certainly different from a lot of others out there, but not my cup of tea. For that kind of money, I'd rather get my hands on a Shelby Mustang, and still have money left to pay for a year of college for one of my daughters!

socal, I believe the brace that you are referring to a lot of other would refer to it as the "OH @$#% Handle". I think it will be a fun car to drive. Now to see what I can do about getting one. Not very practical for how I live. But, you know, I think I could make do with a car like that. Definitely be a fun car to "putt" around town in.

Just for grins, here is my version:

Firesand Metallic (orange) with the black and white leather interior.

It doesn't look like a Jaguar any more.
I'll stick with mine, thanks.

A mighty nice looking car. One for the wish list.

Sadly this forum is about as near as I am ever likely to get to one.

(PS, why the two different exhaust/rear designs?)

The F-Type has Switchable Active Sport Exhaust as an option. With a push of a button on the center console, bypass valves activate the exhaust system and produce a louder, richer, more exhilarating sound. Optional on all models.

Looks nice, but I'm not really diggin' that center console. Did they do that as a courtesy to the passenger, like here have a handle.
