Good point. And there is hope. WW says car was loaded on vessel today.

 

That's a relief. Once one knows it's on a ship, the rest of the wait becomes more intensified, but is also time-boxed.

 

I would wait to see the car, then decide. I had an imported car a few years ago held up at the port of entry for some work. When I investigated at the Owners level' at the dealership... the engine had to be reflashed and something had to be retorqued.. I don't remember what it was.. anyway, they had a whole shipment held up as the cars built on the line at some point had a wrong torque applied to something and the reflash was an update.
Anyway, the car was good. Held up a week or so.

So my car has disappeared into a port recall also.

My car made it onto the ship in Southampton and arrived in the port of Halifax on November 5th. Now the story get's interesting as I have been bugging my dealer for weeks about my car. All I would get is that it is "on it's way". So last week the car was suppose to be delivered and up to now it is no where to be found. The dealer said they were having problems finding it.

Spent the day trying to find my car, to be told at 3pm that my car is in a " Port Recall"

I am seriously pissed because now the weather has turned and driving the car is just not possible. I was hoping to at least have a week or two before having to store the car.

Driving the car from the dealer is now impossible and the car will now have to be loaded onto a flat bed and delivered to my home.
