Default Jaguar Sunshade Doesn’t Fit

Has anyone purchased the Sunshade (Part T2R10765) from Jaguar? I got mine from Harper and is listed as compatible with my F-Type. The problem is that it doesn’t fit.

The notch that goes around the rear view mirror clears the mirror, but not the camera under the mirror. I’m assuming the camera is for the emergency breaking assist or something?

This is what I purchased. I called them and the guy I spoke with said it was the correct part number for my car and he needed to do some more research tomorrow.

I was hoping someone else might have run into the same issue.

You are correct. Its a very poor fit. I purchased one and had the same issue. I knotched it with sharp razor knife and had my wife sew a new binding around the additional cutout i made now works perfect.

Is this how yours fit? I grabbed some pictures of it. You’d think for $70 they would have done a better job.

I have the same mirror with the "camera" but I am fairly sure it is in fact the sensor for the auto headlights low beam / high beam.
I don't have the official logoed sunshade instead I have one which is tailored to fit the F-Type windscreen which works great and easily fits around the sensor and it's housing. Doesn't look as good as the logoed one but works for me and was much cheaper.
Thing is, it looks to me that there is enough room between the sensor and the glass for the logoed sunshade to slide into the gap, and if so that would hold it in place even better. Maybe a bit of a pain to slide it in, maybe not, dunno, but in any event there would be no problem covering the sensor with the sunshade as you ain't gonna be driving with the sunshade in place!

Mine does the exact same thing - until I push it downward. You have to push the bottom edge of the sunshade all the way down so that it gets to the very bottom of the glass where it meets the dash.

Sunscreen is tailored/made for cars without the auto high beam assist.

Thanks everyone for the confirmation. I've tried pushing it down and without bending it more than I want, it just won't fit under the camera. I'll have to decide if I want to send it back under their "fitment guaranteed" option or just keep it.

I have the same shade, doesn't everyone flip down the visors to hold it in place? I've never noticed it doesn't fit snug under the high beam sensor.

Shirley someone by now has tried my suggestion - tuck the top up between the sensor and the glass.
Or does it simply not fit (gap too small) or is it a right royal PITA to slot it in?

Honestly it did not fit correct on my car. I have auto sensing headlights not sure that makes a difference but when all the way down against the dash you could not get it to sit flat
against the windshield and under the rear view. That's why I trimmed it out. it now fits the way I would have designed it. The problem with wedging it in is it bend it and leaves
a air air between it and the windshield and a place for hot air to be. Kind of defeats the purpose.
