Does anyone have a self dimming mirror?
Hello,
I want to install a self dimming rearview mirror on my XJS because it seems that as low as she is, I always have headlights right on my rearview mirror. Since I am going to have to wire it (wish they had a battery operated one available) I am going to get one with Homelink to program gate remotes and maybe with a back up camera built in.
Does anyone have one of these installed in their XJS?

Thanks so much everyone for the links and pictures. It's exactly what I needed to make a decision. It looks fairly easy and not too intrusive. It looks great too.
I may or may not end up getting the one with the back up camera. On one hand I might as well since I am doing this, on the other I really see no "need" . Ill post pics when I am done
Thanks!!

I used one from a Buick or some such GM car in my Miata; not sure what it came from originally. Apparently, there is little difference between it and the expensive OEM versions from Jag and other car makers. I grabbed it and the connector going to it for about $25.
The mirror can be wired up to work constantly but there are other wires to allow it to work only when the headlights are on or to power down when reversing, for example. There is a light sensor in the mirror which turns it off in daylight so it really only dims when its dark anyway.
To use one like this, you'll need to glue a mounting tab to the windscreen.
