Yeah, more or less all of industry has shut down. The real question is what happens to demand if Goldman Sachs is right and the US "grows" at negative 24% this quarter.

With nearly everying shut down, its hard to see how we lose less than a quarter of the economy per quarter IMO. The are 5x more unemployment claims this week than any previous peak, plus the estimated 30% that has exceeded the capacity to process. So they probably figured roughly a 100% annual loss, lets divide 100% by four quarters and call it math.

Timing could not be worse. This week was intended to be the looong awaited release of the LR Defender. And to make matters worse the James Bond film that was a advert for it will now happen after rather than before.

According to the BBC it's due to the virus: https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-51974742

You can always switch over to the missile launcher button, as Unhingd did...

Far more useful. Takes out slow drivers both in front and in back.

You know, many of us run the exhaust valves with no power already, so you could use the loud button to control something pretty easily. Just sayin.

Likewise, the snow and ECO buttons never get used either.

But isn't the snow button attached to the dymanic mode button, and I bet that gets used!

But the loud button already controls circuits on both sides of the muffler that aren't being used.

So assuming JLRs demise is a possibility/probability, would that help or hurt existing F-Types?

Are there enough parts in the supply chain?

Would rarity help or be looked at as unsupported?

Are Ford parts interchangable?

Not looking for politics or virtual signaling.

If JLR goes under due to pandemonium in the economy.....
We have absolutely nothing to worry about....
Other than driving our cars among the starving public.

Why would we assume that current conditions mean the demise of JLR? Jaguar has survived much worse than this - look at their history in the 80s when in some years they produced fewer than 20,000 cars, much fewer). And why would Ford parts be interchangeable with Jaguar parts? Ford had no part in the design or development of this car; the engines were made in a Ford plant under contract, but they are not Ford engines (although Ford may well have copied some parts or, Jaguar may have bought some basic parts from Ford).

Practice social distancing and wash your hands!
JLR is very likely to come out the other side of this dark tunnel
