killed the F
What a stupid road design, I'll wager that's not the first time this has happened. See if you can sue the city. Morons.
I was a bit confused by this account. The road lay-out does not look unusual to me.
Also, when you do a blow-up satellite view on Mapquest you can clearly see 2 directional road arrows indicating a RH turn coming up in that lane.
Certainly sad to see the wrecked F-Type but it seems the driver was clearly at fault, not the road planner.

Before you all get wrapped around the axle, please try to explain to me why this is such an unusual traffic layout.
It looks like a RH turn with a filter lane that is well marked with run off arrows.
We have many like this in Massachusetts.
Presumably there was also a sign for the exit before turn off.

OP unfortunately made a mistake .Nothing to do with the road. He was already in the turn off lane demarcated from the go straight lanes with a solid white line. There would have been numerous signs as well and this would have been some far distance before the turn off. Inattenttion from what ever cause is always costly and luckily only cost him his ride. It is not always someone’s else fault and responsibility but unfortunately this is the way society is heading as individuals now always want to assume they are faultless regardless of how stupid there actions. If something bad happens because I dangle my child out of a window I’m suing the building or window manufacturer because there were no stickers saying not to do that and No fault of my own …..so infuriating
Glad the OP is physically ok. A car is much easier to replace. I hope you stick with Jaguar for your replacement.
I've seen many accidents from folks being in the wrong lane and not just accepting it. Taking the wrong exit is not the end of the world. Just get off, turn around and get back on the highway or take an alternate route to get to where you are going. I've seen people backup on the highway to get to an exit they missed. I've even seen someone reverse up an exit ramp because it was their wrong exit. Dangerous stuff when it's easy enough to exit and just get back on the highway.
