Default Kudos to JLR of Annapolis MD--Great Customer Service

We often hear bad customer service experiences around here and some good, but I like to read examples of both. I'm reporting upon an exceptional experience that just happened to me.

Some may recall on the "Sto-N-Sho" thread, that I was horrified to find 4 holes drilled into my front bumper bar, when I expected only two in the center. I talked to the GM at my dealer, and without hesitation, he said he'd pay to have all 4 fixed.

Last Monday, I took the car to B&B Collision in Glen Burnie, MD, which is a JLR, Ferrari, and Porsche certified repair shop known for high-end work. It is the only shop my dealer works with. Repairing the holes requires removal of the front fascia, and the shop manager called me while it off, saying he could "tweak" the hood, fascia, and side panels and make the gaps even all around.

I'd noticed a lot of variability on how the hoods fit on various F-Types, and considered mine better than most, so hadn't worried about it. The shop manager said it was a balancing act between the hood, fascia, and two lower front panels, where the side vents are located. All four parts are adjustable.

I just got the car back, and I was stunned at how much better it looked. After the bar repair, they painted both the bar and splitter a very nice matte black, which is nicer looking than the unpainted stock matte on the base cars.

None of this cost me a penny.

Added contrast to show matte finish of bumper paint.

Nice, but the RMV spelled 'Foosh' wrong.

The spelling that has been my nickname since college was already taken, but I like this better because of the double entendre, which fits the car.

I've never been interested in personalized plates, but my wife suggested it for this car a few months ago, and I caved.

3 nicknames from my City days, and college. The 3rd is from a guy in my 2nd year of work, and he kept calling me this. I added the a (Slojotaa), because at the time AOL only had this available with 2 a'S. It stuck, and therefore, I am using this. Not a big fan either, but yours looks awesome on the car.

BTW, not to hijack this thread, but when I see your car and mine, I wonder about my quest for the 16R and if I really need it. I will go to the other thread an keep reading it, however yours and mine look fantastic!!!!

Slojotaa out "Phoosh" :-)

Workmanship looks excellent! Too bad you couldn't convince them to give you a Project 7 grille for all your troubles!

Thanks, they did do a nice job, and the finish is better than the unpainted matte that came on the car. Honestly, I like the bar, and don't really covet the Project 7 look.
