Default Leather Smell

The very first memory I have of my F-Type is opening the door for the first time and getting a whiff of leather. After three years, I still smell it if the car has been sitting for a day or two. Am I missing an"eau de leather" packet cleverly hidden somewhere? My Corvettes never smelled like that!

Don't laugh but I have used in my XFS and XFR and still use in my F-Type exactly that - an "eau de leather" packet cleverly hidden somewhere.
Gliptone Leather Scented Aroma Pad slipped under the passenger seat, see here: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Gliptone...4AAOSwYvNcrUoj.
Works great and lasts about two years.

I use gliptone leather cleaner and conditioner products. I was told they make JLR's product. Seems to continue the new leather smell. I use it twice a year.

I purchased mine initially at a custom car show locally, then online directly from Gliptone:

Wonder Wafers (Natural Leather scent) work good too, but just regularly conditioning the seats and keeping food out of the cabin will also do the same thing.

No; the Jaguar connection is with AutoGlym, not Gliptone (but the confusion is understandable). The AutoGlym Leather Balm is superb for the leather in the F-Type, especially the Windsor leather. It is quickly absorbed, and once buffed, leaves a soft, natural glow to the finish. No silicones! Another excellent product is Lexol, but the AutoGlym is richer and seems to work better. You need to keep the surface of the leather soft and supple to avoid abrasion and cracking.

I was told this about gliptone by saleperson at car show, but that could be why it may not be true. Still like it, though.
