Default LED Running Lights

Just a heads up for anyone who blows their LED running lights. My passenger side running lights (the so-called "J-bar") in the headlight assembly stopped working. The dealer insisted that the whole assembly had to be replaced at a cost of appx. $3500. I found an LED driver on ebay for about $36 (it also came with the Xenon light ballast). Popped the headlight out, took out three little screws securing the LED driver (it is the larger of the 2 metal attachments to the back of the assembly), and lo and behold, the LEDs work again. It took maybe 30 mins from start to finish.

Wow, nice job, while you're looking for that link, got any photos?

Sorry - I didn't know it would work so I did not take any photos. I saved the one I took out so I'll take a pic and post it so you can see the part number. That particular part is not unique to Jaguar - I found that it is applicable to other cars too (like a buick or cadillac IIRC). I'll look for the ebay link, but it was a used part so it might be gone. I'll figure out who the vendor is and post that for sure.

BTW, someone posted on this forum how to remove the headlight. I cannot remember that savior's name but here is the body of the post I saved for reference:

I found out it can actually be done without taking off the bumper completely when I tried doing it myself.
1. Remove 1 bolt on top center row of bumper bolts(there are multiple, but remove the one closest to the headlight you want to remove) [I actually removed the 3 closest to the light - 9 mm. They are not very tight at all.]
2. Remove screws on outer edge of bumper, accessible by the
fender liner. [I believe these were t20 screws]
3. I added this: Remove 2 bolts that attach the top of bumper assembly right at rear/top of light. Plainly visible and look like they bolt into plastic housing.
4. Pull bumper out a few inches to expose the side headlight bolt
5. Remove bolt on side of headlight
6. Remove bolt on top of headlight
Headlight will now be loose and can be pulled out. Be careful as the headlight edges are somewhat sharp and can scratch the paint as you pull it out.
6.Disconnect connector on back

ebay link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-14-17-J...53.m2749.l2649

The ebay vendor was "got_oem_lights", but there are several on there.

The OEM is Valeo, and on my 2015 with AFS, the part number is L90028083. See below pic:
