So I disassembled my charge air cooler when getting ready for my vap harrop 2300 swap. I cleaned it up and powdercoated it. I did run into a problem. When disassembling and removing the heat exchangers, there's an o-ring on each inlet and outlet for the heat exchanger. All 4 of these o-rings broke when removing with my seal puller tool. They are not normal o-rings, as there's a little flange and super thick. They look similar to aj811539 but quite a bit thicker flange, and slightly smaller ID of about 11mm. There's nothing in the part catalog or anything resembling them. Am I SOL?
It sounds like those o-rings are a specialty part, especially with the thicker flange and smaller ID. If they aren’t listed in the catalog, your best option might be to measure carefully and source custom o-rings from a specialty seal supplier. Alternatively, contacting the manufacturer or a dealer for part references could save time.
