I'm talking about @RickyJay52 I can't thank you enough my friend for sending me the Scarborough, Maine JLR badge! In the Magical Mystery Tour topic I commented that it was car jewlery, well that it is and then some as the piece has a nice heft, the paint inlay is just perfect, and the sparkle of the silver is outstanding, Scarborough JLR didn't spare any expense when choosing the vendor to make this badge.
On every new car I have ever bought (besides my first new car a 79 Mustang 5.0) I always told the car salesperson that I will not take delivery with a dealer decal on the car, well if the dealers would have had a badge of this caliber I would not have objected, and I strongly suspect that Scarborough JLR has great service and a very loyal customer base.
Jay is one of the most authentic and down to earth guys you'll ever meet who always puts everyone's needs ahead of his own! The JLR dealership in Scarborough is the type of place where you can just drop in and socialize for no particular reason and the staff makes you feel right at home. Due to F-Type inventory limitations in Maine, I had to purchase both of my Jaguars out of state and the dealership has embraced me as if I bought them here. Enjoy the badge, it will be very unique in the Chicago area.
Please gentlemen. You are going to make me blush the color red of that Norma Kamali “Sleeping Bag Coat” I posted in the 2021 Jaguar [F-Type] Magical Mystery Tour post.
I am humbled (and honored) by your post but, really, it’s my pleasure.
I have owned a number of Jaguars but never did any kind of Concours showing. I have always assumed these grille badges were related to honors at shows. Are these "dealer" badges traditionally? Or both?

The “honor” was my dealer—Jaguar Land Rover Scarborough, ME—provided me with a bunch of these for last year’s event. [They also put them on all new—and, presumably, used?—vehicles they sell]. They also provided me with extras to give those “new-comers” for this year’s event. I ended up mailing 3 to F-Type forum members who PM’d me asking if they could have one. My dealer—Ron, the General Sales Manager—said they would give me a few more if any other F-Type forum members request one.

I'm thinking the statement look for you is the Kamali Coat,, the wizard hat, along with the Scarborough badge hanging off of a 1/2" thick silver chain!
Carpe Diem eh, March 2008 northwestern Wisconsin on our way to Thief River Falls, Minnesota, the weapon is a 2005 Arctic Cat ZedR 900.

How about a Jaguar Land Rover Scarborough ME “employees only”—despite my not being an employee—jacket the dealership gifted me last year? Or should I say gifted my wife as she absconded it?

You have to watch out for those women, you just never know.

Historically, grille or front bumper badges were an indication of club membership, tour attendance or national origin. I don’t think I ever saw one indicating a concours win.
I’m embarrassed to say that I haven’t attached the Scarborough badge yet. It’s too special to leave on my bookshelf. I may put mine up front where the S badge should be. That came down when the P7 grille went up.
Same here - Kudosto Jay. I thank you very much for your Jag Badge gift. Wish more forum member would take a lesson from Jay.
Jay, you are sincerely a nice person and I thank you. Refreshing!
Stay well, my friend..

I’m not so sure anyone needs, never mind wants, a lesson from me but I appreciate the sentiment. I treat everyone with respect and kindness and let the chips fall where they may. I “pay it forward” and never ever have alternative motives. It’s inherent and pretty simple.
