Default Major Complaint about the F-Type

There just isn't enough time in my day to drive it as much as I want to.

LOL. First world problem.

Its ok. My commute of 9 miles round trip doesn't let me drive it as much as I'd like to.

I try to do my best... 8 months of ownership and I'm over 12,500 miles. Looking forward to a few thousand more before adding an additional 4,000 for Lobsterfest in spring.

And...considering the personal tragedy you and your son have gone through - and hope he is doing well? - you're an inspiration [not the least of which is raking up all those/these miles] to us all.

Best regards,
Jay

One more reason to not put your/any F-Type into hibernation during the winter!

Know what I noticed tonight, upon a quick glance? That the doors don't have lights installed in them so that when the door is opened, passing cars might be see it? Since I park it in an indoor garage, and not in the street - which I did this evening for about an hour - not sure I ever noticed that before.

Don't ever plan to. My Vette never went into storage when I lived in the mountains west of Denver. Car came out whenever the roads were clear (which was most of the time).

I don't believe I've ever owned a car that had that feature. The courtesy lamp by the interior door handle certainly isn't bright enough to serve that purpose.

My 2004 Audi A8L has them, as does my wife's 2006 BMW 325xi wagon and, I must say, it's a nice feature. And, no, not having it in my F-Type is not a complaint. Simply an observation.

Not wanting this thread to be about me and the past, I thank you for the kind words. Every day seems to get better, but every now and again the spirits of the past remind me how fragile life is and how thankful I am for everything I still have that is a positive in my life. You guys are truly family to me. Thank you.

S#%^!

If those wonderful words don't ring true - if not bringing a gentle tear to our eyes - nothing does! We're all in this mixed-up precarious world together and delighted that you're a part of this group of, mostly, merry men.

I guess my biggest complaint is about the Sat Nav. It consistently overstates how long it takes to get somewhere by 20-25%.

And I assume you'd be willing to tell the nice officer that the speedometer must be off by 20-25%...

I tried it a couple of times and now never use it. The Waze smartphone app is so much more sophisticated, amazing at routing around traffic problems, and accurate to within a minute or two on a 1-hour trip.

I believe uncheel's issue is primarily driver induced. Waze does not have a "Wild Man" setting either.

Dude - I hear ya...

Had my R for 2 or 3 months now - just drove it from PA to NJ this morning on the turnpikes...

Pure joy....

In Waze I trust! Not unusual to look down at 100-120 mph.

The Dog just wants to Hunt!

I consider it great sport to beat the nav system projections. Also getting there ahead of the prediction helps satisfy my mild obsessive compulsive disorder
