Manual shift mode disabled
I was driving on the freeway the other night and suddenly while on normal drive mode I get a warning light "MANUAL SHIFT DISABLED" and of course I swithched to sport manual to verify and no manual shifting. After I arriving at my destination, I turned the car off and back on after a few minutes and warning light is gone. Has anyone experience this?
Even though the warning light hasn't come on since then, is this something I should be concerned about maybe something major down the road or is this just one of those warning light comes on for no reason?

I sure hope so because I just found out my CPO warranty just expired January of this year. My SOS warning light has also come a few times in the 3 years I've owned the car and most recent around 2 weeks ago.
I just can't believe with just under 300 views that there's not 1 person that has had the manual shift disabled warning light come on their F Type or any Jaguar model for that matter. SMH...

Yeah sorry I can't help you with that one haha, if manual shift mode was disabled on my car it would indicate a hardware failure and I wouldn't be going anywhere (6MT).
Although I will say, when I first bought the car the battery warning message appeared. This is also around when I saw SOS system limited functionality. Ever since then, I have been charging my battery up to full with a 10A tender every two weeks to keep it in good shape. It's an old battery (6 years), so start-stop doesn't work, but using this method I have never had a problem or another warning message.
I believe the F-Type is just hyper sensitive to voltage levels, and as a result modules may throw error codes when voltage becomes borderline. How old is your battery?
