More photos of the facelift
https://www.motor1.com/news/357541/f...-f-type-spied/
More photos taken of both the convertible and coupe facelift.
Completely new front lights but also new taillights clearly.
Also the rear diffuser is more aggressive. No doubt to me the coupe in the photos is the SVR without the SVR spoiler. The diffuser is deeper and goes more around the rear compared to the current SVR.
The front grille is differrent too, it doesn't have the bar in the middle either but the convertible does. Wonder if maybe the SVR won't have the bar?
The convertible is originally a blue color it seems but the A-pillars are black. Like the Project 7 they seem to be going to black out the A-pillars, at least on the convertible.

There is a 4 potter coupe (P7 grille) and a V8 coupe (P7 grille) and a 'vert (normal grille). None look live SVRs to me because they dont have the oversized front vent behind the wheel.
I quite like where the front lights are going. The change to the rears is change for change's sake, though I dont think it will detract from it. I am hoping that the horizontal blades in the front vents dont make a return. That is only my opinion, I had them and didnt like them in both of my XF's and I didnt like them in my wife's XE either. I tend to think the lines flow better with the vertical blades.

As I said it seems like an SVR without the spoiler. And since we can’t see how the front bumper looks we can’t say it’s not an SVR. Just compare the 4 quad exhaust convertible with the 4 quad exhaust coupe in the photos. Not the same rear bumper at all. Convertible is R, coupe is SVR.

Of course, in a mule you don't actually know what they're testing - could be any part of the car. I heard a tale a few decades ago that Porsche was testing a new drivetrain in a bodyshell from an Opel Rekord, and many autobahn drivers were bemused to be overtaken at speed by such a vehicle!

This has been the whole process. The 2015 FT being the 240Z. They must 'change' the look over time or people can't beat their cheat that they have the latest model. Unfortunately, and imo, the looks are degrading over time. That is how it works 90% of the time with car models.
