Default Music Preset Buttons...

I have 6 Preset buttons for my 6 favorite Radio stations on the Radio screen.
I have 3000+ songs on my USB, so under the "My Music" tab I don't/can't get it to show 6 favorite songs buttons.
Does anyone knows if this can be done?

Thanks,

6 avail preset buttons for radio stations...

So how do I have fav Preset song buttons?

Simple answer, no. I think there's another thread on here that discusses this very issue.

In fact, you started it! https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...-songs-209082/

There are 18 Sat presets. Aren’t there 18 radio presets as well?

set up your favorite tunes by loading them onto the Virtual CD changer.

I think the virtual changer will store about 10 CDs. Burn your favorites to a CD and upload to car. Then us the scroll button on the steering wheel to play whichever you want.

Yeah... but the OP wants his own FAVORITE songs to select. (unless I read it wrong)

@unhingd, are you saying that he would need to burn a CD with his 'faves' and select that under My Music?

Might as well going back to cassette tapes...

Can we input music to the sound system's memory via a flashcard (thumb drive)? I don't think so.

Even the Nav system's map updates need to be on a CD. (At least on our '14)

I just leave a 32GB USB stick plugged in. I have one directory (called "aardvark" so it sorts at the top) with my favourites in which I leave on shuffle.

I think I'll pick up a huge flash drive and just bring all my music. How is the F-Type with playlists on a flash drive? Judging by your aardvark workaround, I'm guessing it's pretty basic.

I like these short mini USB drives:
Amazon Amazon

$12. It barely sticks out in glove box, 32GB holds 5000+ songs.
I have it in all my cars, plus one extra for rental cars while traveling.

My 3000+ song library has all genres of music, except rap. But I do have a few fav, like good thumping driving music, or high energy music on the way to the gym, thus I would like to program a few fav buttons to hit, instead of scrolling thru all the slow songs...

Yep, a mini 32 GB stick like that is what I have been using for years without a single glitch.
All my tracks are sorted into folders with one of them named "favourites" (but I like the idea of renaming that folder "aardvarks"!), and I have deleted/added/shuffled folders and tracks many times with no problems.
The only downside is it can be a bit clumsy changing folders, I have to use the touch screen and hit the "browse" button then hunt and peck for the folder I want which of course is a no-no while on the move.

Nope, map update is via USB thumb drive. I did it once so far.
