Default My 2015 V6s Needs Major Service Done ?

My car has only 32,000 miles on it but since it's 10 years old, the service manual says I need the following done:

They have only changed the oil and a bad O2 sensor since I've had it serviced every couple of years.
Has anyone had this work done by Jaguar dealer service? What did they charge?
TIA, Tony

I do brake fluid myself, by time, EVERY 3 years. It is not mileage-dependent. Brake fluid absorbs moisture which rots metal brake lines from the inside. Track cars get BF flushes 3X a year...

The plugs: I go by mileage not time., if I ever feel a misfire (especially on a cold engine) they would get changed.

Belts: that is another time thing. Any untoward noises (you DO open the bonnet occasionally to listen, I hope) require investigation or replacement. We replaced ours when we had the aluminum coolant pipe kit installed.

Coolant: Like motor oil, it's the ADDITIVES, not the coolant, that deteriorates and allows corrosion/rad blockage. So yeah, 10 years (or more often after that if you do routine partial drains) is wise. Again, ours was done when the coolant pipe 'upgrade' was performed.

++++++++++++

I can't speak for dealer service costs....anything I haven't done myself, I get done by a trusted local Jaguar indie specialist. It's a LOT cheaper, even considering that I make a glutton of myself, eating the goodies in the dealer's waiting area.

Bonnet (British English) == hood (American ‘English’)

Default Brake fluid tester

Anyone used one of these??

Amazon Amazon

OP wrote about brake fluid changes. Yes, every 3 years. Just had the 2013 Golf in and the indie shop used something like one of these (probably a really good one) to check the moisture in the brake and clutch fluid(s). Came out to be 1%, so passed the test. Had it flushed about 2 years ago. Also had all the coolant lines replaced and fresh coolant put in.

Did have the flanged coolant pipes replaced on the F, but was not able to get the alum. ones in, so got Jaguar replacements. Car has 42K on it, and probably will get those changed out in another few years to the metal ones that I have since acquired.

Read up on the posts/threads of doing your own oil changes. Armed with a Mityvac, it's fast and clean operation.

@Carbuff2 I am about to do the brake fluid - can you give your equipment and fluid recommendations for time-efficiency and frustration minimization?!

For routine brake and clutch fluid replacement I use a vacuum bleeder. I have a Harbor Freight close to me so that is my current one. They also sell a 'name brand' Maddox pump for 3X the cost.

Important to clean out the equipment with WATER after use!

I always use DOT4 LMA (Low Moisture Absorption) brake fluid. Usually Castrol or NAPA.

Jaguar specifies LV DOT4 (Low Viscosity) but the first change I did (just after having bought the F) I used regular BF. No issues. Have used LV BF since.

During the time I helped friends who tracked their cars, we used high-end Motul brand brake fluids.

Thanks guys, I found a (somewhat) local independent that specializes in Jaguar that will do the plugs, coolant and brake fluid and inspect the belts to see if they need replacing.
