Quote: Thanks U, I meant auto. Another thing that threw me off was if it is auto, why is there a min-max switch? Yet is still obviously auto. My old car is also rain-sensing but also swipes if you leave it on, so thanks for that tip too. Finally raining in re-droughted CA.
The min/max adjustment on auto (rain-sensing) is the sensitivity of the sensor. I set mine at minimum, and if I reach a point where I thought the wipers should have swept but haven't, go up one click. That forces a sweep. Repeat until it sweeps before I think it necessary.

If it really comes down hard, they'll go to high speed.

Tough decision....this thread or "daily driver" thread.
Knew about it but didn't use it in the spring-fall former usage.
Today was 1st day as a daily driver....-12*C, clear sunny sky, bare roads. With wind chill, seriously frigid.

Highlight of the day....heated steering wheel.

For those in frigid zones, you owe it to yourself to do a bit of "off season" driving if only to revel in the joy of heated steering.
Windshield, rear window, mirrors all cleared up asap with the system on auto.
Definitely a four season wonder.
Try it, you'll like it.

When I ordered my car, I got the Premium package, which included the cold-weather package (I think). At the time, I thought the heated steering wheel was stupid.

I no longer think that, especially on a convertible. I wish my winter car had one!

So true. I refuse to think it's a sign of age but heated seats and steering may well be the car gods great gift to mankind. H

I haven't checked to see if a canister of Metamucil fits in the cup holder.

A can of Ensure certainly does. Lol.
Even on the coupe, heated seats and steering wheel allow me to keep the windows open throughout much more of the year. Love that sound.

It's part of the Climate Pack, option code Z88L.
It could also be ordered by itself, option code F97A.
If you have it your TOPIx build sheet should simply show "heated steering wheel" (although mine shows "heated steering wheels", I never knew I had more than one steering wheel!).

Quote: Not sure if this is the same, but my wife's Mini Cooper automatically speeds up and slows down the wipers depending on your speed.
That's the way it is suppose to work!

If you don't have the vision pack. Otherwise it's rain dependent rather than speed dependent.

Woohoo, made it through 51 pages of this thread! I don't own an F Type (yet!) but there is some seriously good knowledge and information to be gained here as well as alot of entertainment to be had. Thanks to you all, I am now a JCNA member in plenty of time to still be able to use the discount when the time comes for a purchase.

Make sure you join the most important club (yes I have a few of these stickers, and I am oh so tempted to add them to the car):

I am a long time member. My MX-5 is a manual and I've owned at least one manual car for pretty much my entire driving history. I am a big advocate of "Save the Manuals!" but since I want a V8 car that will not be an option for me this time around.

I've never owned an AT. Do I qualify for membership?

If membership means just buying a sticker or two? YOU BET SIR! You made the short shifter. Hell, put it by the unhingd decal, and you are set.

- Hood change for AWD... I knew the vents were moved, but didn’t realize the middle lifted bit is wider with new lines. Not a problem, just didn’t know.
- R (at least my 2018) does subtle overrun backfires even in D / dynamic mode. I knew it would in sport, but my 2016 v6s didn’t (or I couldn’t hear it)
