Hey y’all! New owner of a 2018 Jaguar F-Type R as of last weekend and loving it so far 😎 previously had an Alfa Romeo 4C spider that was unfortunately totaled by a hit and run driver 🥲 took about 4 months for me to find the perfect trim, but was mainly looking for a 2018+ MY with any metallic paint and the carbon fiber rims. Only upgrade I would want to do at this point is the infotainment system with the larger screen but not a necessity for now. Watched countless videos but any tips or advice for a new owner are appreciated!

Welcome! Very nice F! I think white is my favorite color for these, and Rs are just awesome by their damn selves!

Coincidentally, I found my car down in the Nashville area, in Franklin, but I’ve only had it three weeks and so don’t have sage, time-honored wisdom to share yet. I’m sure we’ll both get there, though!

I am not a white color guy at all... but strangely I love the F-Type and 4C in white lol. Beautiful car, congrats! You should tag along on the tail of the dragon drive if there are spots.

 

The F-Type looks great in any colour. Though some colours are greater than others (but personal preference only!).

 

Nice! White is the best color on the F-Type. But they all turn heads.

Thanks for the welcome y’all! I wasn’t the biggest fan of white cars before I got the Alfa sight unseen and was blown away by the madrepearla white. The paint on the Jag isn’t quite as striking as the 4C but the metallic does have its moments. I would’ve held out for a metallic paint if this was just regular white lol

True, but only insofar as white and silver are concerned! Both manage down reflections and provide high-contrast to body lines allowing the topography of a curvaceous car to be clearly seen and appreciated. Dark colors do the opposite, confusing and flattening perception of "bone line."

Hello fellow Nashville Jag-sters! I go mine in Aug, 2017, it only had 22k miles! I would love to meet up with some of those other cars in the photo. I wish I was around on the 15th of May. Prior to the F-type I had a BMW 135i. That was also a great car.

 

These cars are stunning in white. My BMW was white as well. Cars with nice, shapely lines tend to look really good in white. The BMW had the M sport package so it had the wider hips on it.
