Default NEW Rear Coolant Water Heater Pipe

It has arrived. It looks and feels like a quality part. Too bad it will be hidden in the back of the engine. It looks like a RTV/Silicone type gasket material was used instead of a paper/fiber gasket. I tried to pick some over flow material off but it is stuck on there pretty hard. I haven't tried to fit it yet but I'm confident it will be a perfect fit.

I think I'm going to run my scope in the outlets at the back of the engine just to see what I can see. I already removed the ridiculous symposer.

It's for the V8 and all models/years of cars it was fitted to.
The V6 version came out years ago.

Plug N play, or does software get involved?

That is the correct heater pipe for the V6. No software programming necessary. It is a direct fit. It's like the other plastic water pipes. Take the old plastic welded pipe out and replace with this one.

If you re talking about bleeding the air out of the system after replacing the pipe, I'm not sure. I need to figure that out too.

I found the one pictured on Ebay.

eBay item number:395347555941, don't know anything about the seller, it's an "unbranded" part. Not saying I would buy this particular one either.

Here’s the Euroamp listing. I have no clue if there’s more than one company manufacturing these things.

The V-6 version is now available in two versions. The first one like shown above with screws and is two piece. Also as posted above has been out for years.

There is a one piece version out now. No screws!

At this point more inclined to go with EuroAmp rather than PandaGarage, but it may be the same manufacturer. I just checked FCPEuro and it doesn't look like they have anything like that.

Then, Would someone be able to send a photo of this piece in the engine compartment? I have the V-6 and looked in the symposer area and could not identify this easily. I don't like poking around until I know for sure what I am doing.

I ordered the EuroAmp and although I have the symposer disconnected using the VAP kit this will be a good time to remove the Symposer completely in order to get to the heater pipes. To me, looks like an easy enough procedure to do but every time I think something is going to be easy it is anything but.

I should have some photos for you soon.

Well it is easier on a V-6 compared to the V-8 but still tight access.

Default 3 screws

I changed mine last fall with some difficulty, primarily removing the plastic heater pipe. I notice in your pictures the new heater pipe has only two screw holes whereas mine has three similar to the plastic one I removed. If yours are compatible it will be an easy install. The hard part is if the plastic one your removing has the three holes similar to mine, the lower center screw is difficult to access due to the webbing on either side of the screw. I had already removed the symposer which helped considerably, the wiring harness bracket had to be removed to increase access. It’s a pretty easy job, yours should be even easier with only two screws on each side. This is my first attempt at attaching a photo.

As you can see, 3 hole flanges

The center bottom was difficult to access

3 holes = V6, 2 holes = V8.
Also the "runners" (the tubes these holed flanges are attached to) are much longer on the V6 version than on the V8 version.
