Has anyone replaced their 2020 or older F Type side vents with the new style from 2021 on... I see they're on sale on ebay for 150 dollars...

 

I ended up just wrapping mine in gloss black film in my attempt to de-chrome mine.

 

That looks great- did you wrap yourself or have a shop do it? I want to do the same and trying to decide if I should try my hand at wrapping.

 

I wrapped them myself using a heat gun and vinyl from Vvivi ( ) Just make sure you have a new xacto knife blade to cut the excess. A dull blade can tear instead of cut.

Also I had a chunk of soft silicone rubber and used that to press the vinyl into the JAGUAR debossed lettering. Heat the vinyl then push the silicone rubber to force the vinyl into the lettering recess.

 

I also wrapped my center console frame in the piano gloss black

How difficult is it to remove the side vents?

 

The
wrapping looks good on old vents, but I do like the style of the new one...

 

Do they just go in the same way?

And, can you get chromed ones (some of use like chrome,,,.don't shoot.

 

Both chrome and black are on ebay right now... From England... They say they fit all years of the F-Type... I've heard that most of the time, taking off the old ones breaks the clips that hold them in the panel so you can't reuse them easily...

Just search for F Type side vents and there are numerous listings for the old and new vents... You can get the vents separately or together... from different vendors... I have not idea if any are better than the others...

 

price has gone up a little but here it is.
