Sorry, that picture was apparently a "one-off," and it was never offered for sale (see post #3).

Yeah, I see that with the Arden grill; I was referring to this;

I am working with a shop here in SF on a new front, F-Type 7 style. Stay tuned

nevermind; I found a follow up thread (SVR) where that poster said $3,600.00 and no hex....at that price I'd just make my own as I have a metal fab shop.

If the P7 grille surround is the exact same shape as the regular F-Type then the surround and full mesh could be bought for less than $500 plus shipping out of the UK.

Wow, thanks for the info; I can't imagine they'd be a different shape, after all the SVR has the same nose cone with the earlier bar type grill.....for that price it sounds like it'd be worth trying. worst case you end up with P7 garage art!

Might you have access to part numbers and a link to a UK source that would sell/ship to the US. I've not had any luck finding part #s for the P7.

If Cambo can provide the part number, http://www.brit-car.co.uk/ is generally able to provide the part.

This needs to be done in a very subtle way. I'm quite sure JLR would try to block the sale of P7 spare parts if suddenly heaps of people try to order them. So I won't post the part numbers here publicly.

I will talk with my parts source in the UK tomorrow, and see if there are any order restrictions in place (this happened with the XKR-S, order by VIN only), it could well be that there is only one shot at placing an order.

So if you seriously want one, put your name down. Yes they will ship to the US, I buy parts from them on a monthly basis and they ship from UK to AUS.

I thought that might be the case. If possible, I'd like to put my name down.

Cheers,
Dave

I'm in...
Grill - presume its Gloss Black
Grill surround - don't care what color, I'll wrap if need be. Chrome would be my first choice.

Fully expect a VIN to be required here. May need to inquire with any forum members that have a Project 7 that would be willing to provide their VIN, since they wont be needing these parts anytime soon... hopefully!

You can put me down, as well. In case the thanks wasn't enough. This is why I held off engineering one. The OEM body parts were cheap, I didn't want to get too deep into making my own.

A forum member has placed an order for 1x complete grill through his regular supplier, and yes the VIN was required to do it, waiting to see if the order will actually get processed/fulfilled.

With the VIN being requested it seems unlikely that that multiple quantities could be ordered in a single-shot. It might also be that repeated orders with the same VIN recorded might throw up a flag in their system...

It's a waiting game now to see if it works.

Please keep us updated regarding both fulfillment of order, and ultimately fitment of P7 part to F-Type. If this works, be worth scavenging/soliciting VIN numbers.

Assuming the order ships, I stand ready to place another order using the same VIN as a 1st option.

Ok...here's the first to arrive. 1 am now working with the next person to have expressed interest to find him a supplier. The 2 parts are definitely not available online from U.S. distributors.

I asked the parts guy at the dealer, as well. No dice for the US.

+1.

+ Don't you need another part? The P7 has a bar behind the grill.

If it isn't too cold this weekend, I'll get started on this job. If it fits, I will have the surround chrome wrapped to match the rest of the exterior detailing.

Obviously, I wasn't clear enough. The P7 has a black-covered bar behind the grill and similar to the std bar mounted outside the grill, extending through the 2-piece grill, and covering the bare aluminum bar behind the grill which is part of the chassis. I suppose you could paint the aluminum bar black, but it's going to look a bit "industrial." It appears that there's a unique to P7 thermoplastic cover that hides the same aluminum bar we have, but it fits behind the grill.
